Seasick, Not a Chance

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

Cecilia and her family took an unbelievable cruise to the Bahamas, thanks to Carnival Cruise Lines.   Her and her family couldn’t have been more thankful with all the pictures and thank you cards they sent to KWN.  Cecilia’s mother said, “It was such an incredible experience and the staff of Carnival Cruise went SO ABOVE and Beyond on a DAILY basis!”  Cecilia also wrote several glowing thank you notes and hand delivered them to the employees of Carnival.

I’m glad you enjoyed your time at sea.

Luke Wins Big!!!

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

Luke adores the “Price is Right” so when he got his opportunity to spin the wheel on the set, he felt like a “Winner!”  Recently, Luke returned from his trip to California with indescribable memories.  Luke and his family also enjoyed Universal Studios, Disneyland and of course the beach, where the children saw and played in sand for the first time ever.

When it was all over, Luke summed it up with a big smile, proclaiming, “I saw Mickey!”

Thank you to all the sponsors for your help in making Luke’s wish come true.  We couldn’t have done it without you!

Charlotte’s Anticipation Builds…

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

“Green and Yellow are the colors I want my playhouse,” exclaimed Charlotte!

Thanks to ABC Supply and Staidl Contracting, Charlotte couldn’t wait to open the door to her playhouse.   Charlotte also received a kitchen set, tables and chairs, a loft and a doll house.

Enjoy your playhouse Charlotte!

What an amazing place!

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

To laugh and work the livelong day
To write and be inspired
To do everything in a ‘wishing’ way
Is all that is desired

The tone of the above poem describes the atmosphere of this place. It’s light and airy, full of determination, sparkling personalities and goodwill.
I am now officially part of the Kids Wish Network Editorial Department as well as the Gift Bank and Hero of the Month Department and I love every minute of it.

I’ve written and sent out a few press releases and done a handful of web-stories. It’s so compelling to learn about these kids and all that they endure. It’s also amazing to see the hard work going on behind each wish.

What a joy to work for a place that brings such delight to so many deserving children! I hear wishes being granted left and right and it’s simply awe-inspiring. I can only imagine where it is going to go from here and that line of thought contains many smiles.
