Christian went on his wish at Best Buy for a shopping spree this week.  It was great calling sponsors in his home town; people were eager to help out.  I am so glad he was able to have his wish come true. The Holiday season seems like a perfect time to go on a shopping spree. I’m sure he was able to get all kinds of fun and exciting gadgets and gizmos to keep him entertained and full of smiles. I hope Christian was able to get everything he wanted.

As we prepare for the Holiday season here at Kids Wish Network I am totally surprised at the dedication of our wonderful sponsors to make sure that our kids have their wishes fulfilled even with the trying times of our economic state. I would like to take this time to thank all the wonderful people across the miles and wish them a joyous and, more importantly, a healthy holiday season!

I was just reading the press release on Kim. She was one of the first kids I was assigned to fund a wish for.
I’m so glad Kim and her family had a great time!  I was delighted that she had her wish to Disney fulfilled this time of year. I bet all the lights and decorations were beautiful. It’s great that Kim was able to have a fun getaway in sunny Florida. I hope it was an experience she’ll never forget.

Tyler has been busy shopping at Wal-Mart for his new computer that he had wished for from The Kids Wish Network. I’m sure it was one of those shopping trips that made a smile from ear to ear and with great anticipation of returning home with his mind full of getting it up and running. I hope it helps in fulfilling his wish of becoming a computer technician and brings him success in the years to come. Enjoy Tyler!!

November was a great month. Derrick and Joseph had their wish come true and I had the pleasure of contacting some amazing sponsors. It’s such a great feeling when one of our wish kids gets to forget, if even for a moment, all that they go through.

It’s great to hear what a great time they have, too! So with the sound of holiday music in the background and the determination to fund wishes, I can’t wait to see what December will bring!

When I write out a press release, I must always pay attention to the sponsors for the wish that I am writing about. See, without sponsors, these wishes (that mean the absolute world to these kids) would not be granted. When I type them all out for the world to see the wonders they have done, I begin to notice that many of the names are repeats from previous fulfilled wishes. So, not only do these great stores, companies, restaurants, people, lodges, groups, airlines, hotels, theme parks, individuals, etc. sponsor just one wish, they sponsor NUMEROUS wishes! What a joy to see so many different places and people giving so much to so many kids in such difficult economic times! It strikes me every time. I would like to, personally, give my sincere thanks to those groups, etc. that sponsor the wishes of these children who ask so little: Thank you; Grazie; Danke; Arigato; Gracias; Merci; ευχαριστώ; Mahalo; Dhanyavad; Takk; спасибо; dziękuję; Obrigada; Diolch…

I can’t thank you enough for planning our Kidwish trip to the Disney theme parks.  It was more than we could have ever imagined.  Thomas loved riding every train, tram, jeep, boat and anything else that moved.  We were able to escape as a family and just have some fun.  Thank you again.

Thanks again for being a great wish coordinator.  Our family has some wonderful memories.
