Domonique is from Waldorf, MD, she has spina bifida and just turned 12-years-old.  When I contacted Domonique she told me her wish was to meet Chris Brown. Chris Brown is a pop singer who is very popular with young girls such as Domonique!  I began by contacting Chris’ publicist and after working out the arrangements, it was decided that Domonique would meet Chris in Atlanta, at the Chastain Park Amphitheater on the 4^th of July weekend. 

Domonique was very excited! She and her family drove to Atlanta a few days early so they could spend some time seeing some famous attractions there.  The Westin Peachtree provided a room for them with a fabulous view.  They toured the Martin Luther King Jr. Historic Site and also went to Stone Mountain Park.

Finally, the highlight of her trip was to be taken by Atlantic Limo to the Amphitheater where she would meet her favorite singer. Before the show, Bridget from Atlanta Spirit, escorted Domonique and her family to a backstage area where she was actually able to meet Chris, give him a special gift and spend some time chatting with him.  After their meeting she was also able to watch the concert with her family.

Domonique will not soon forget this day – for her it was truly a wish come true!!

The Kiwanis Club in Nashville is helping to fulfill a wish for Samantha.  Samantha is a very special little 10-year old girl who wants to go to Hawaii as her wish.  She and her family will have an entire week of making happy memories.  Thank you so much Nashville Kiwanis Club for your help in making Samantha’s dream come true.

Many people ask what our most common wish request is.  Well, it’s probably no surprise that many of our kids want to visit the Florida Theme Parks!  In fact it accounts for 38% of the wishes we grant!  It’s a great vacation for the entire family that includes airfare, accommodations, a car rental, tickets to several major Florida theme parks including Disney World, Universal and Sea World, meals and spending money. 

We have hundreds of wonderful sponsors in the Orlando area who help us make these special wishes come true; the theme parks, car rental companies and literally hundreds of restaurants.  They all deserve our thanks.  When you are in the Orlando area, look for our certificates and plaques on the walls of many restaurants, hotels, and attractions.  You can be proud to know that you are supporting a business with heart.

AirTran Airways flies many of our families to their Florida dream vacation at no charge to us.  They are our “Guardian Angels” of the skies! 

The beautiful Royal Plaza Hotel in the Walt Disney World Resort graciously hosts a great majority of our families each year.   Not only do they provide them with deluxe accommodations, every family is treated like royalty from the moment they arrive.  They may even find a few surprises in their rooms! 

Every one of our families is treated to a wonderful time at Wonderworks, an amazing hands-on museum that the kids just love.  Here they can try on a real space suit, landing the space shuttle in a simulator or even experiencing an earthquake!!  Check out the wonder of it all if you are in town!

We always end our wishes with a celebratory dinner at a really fun, themed dinner show – Pirates Dinner Adventure!  The food is really yummy and our wish kids are always picked to be in the show! The kids have a swashbuckling good time and it’s a great way to end their special vacation.  It’s no wonder that the Florida Theme Parks is our most popular wish!

University Medical Center in Las Vegas recently held a very special party for the kids at their hospital. The party was part of our exciting Holiday of Hope Gift Bank program. We were thrilled to ship over $60,000 worth of brand new toys to UMC to be given to the pediatric patients there when they come in for medical treatment.

Almost all of our Gift Bank participating hospitals hold these amazing celebrations for the kids after receiving their toys, and these events include not only gift giving, but special guests, games and treats!

What a great way for these kids to break up their day in the hospital with a special party in their honor. And of course there’s nothing wrong with bringing home a brand new toy either!
